Summer Climbing Camp Registration Is Open!

AZR Summer Climbing Camp is primarily rock climbing focused and is designed to help campers of all skill levels improve their current climbing abilities. Our camp curriculum will help your child build self-confidence by incorporating different forms of rock climbing, like Roped Climbing (Top-Roping and Auto-Belaying,) Bouldering, and Speed Climbing.

Are your kiddos eager to climb this Summer?

We’ve got an exciting climbing camp planned that will span over 8 weeks. Check out all the details and get them registered ahead of time to lock in their spot!

Campers will learn multiple new skills throughout the week, including how to properly use their safety gear, how to decipher route sequences and ratings, how to apply different movements and techniques to increase efficiency on the wall, how to problem solve, and the importance of good sportsmanship.

Five days of climbing in a row is a lot! The daily schedule will include fun, “off the wall” activities to keep campers engaged and moving without overtiring them, as well as a short snack break in the middle of the day. Campers will be grouped up based on age and skill level so that they get the most out of their experience.

Structured daily curriculum may include but is not limited to:

  • Safety orientation
  • Full body climbing warm up
  • Climbing technique lessons and practice
  • Top Rope and bouldering specific lessons and exercises
  • Special routes set for camp
  • Gym etiquette
  • Climbing vocabulary
  • Yoga/Stretching
  • “Off the wall” activities to practice things like balance and hand-eye coordination
  • Reflection, communication, socialization

9 AM to 12 PM

$325 p/child p/week ($65/day)
(10% discount for siblings or current youth program participants – Discount does not stack)

My child has never climbed before, is this camp right for them?

This camp is perfect for all skill levels. We will place each child in a group based on age and skill level (If your child would like to be with a friend you may let us know during registration and we will try to accommodate). This camp is primarily climbing focused and designed for those who are interested in learning about climbing, gaining confidence, meeting other kids their age, having fun “off the wall” experiences, and more.

How much climbing do the campers get?

While we can’t give a specific amount of time spent on the wall, the answer is quite a bit over the 5 days. 

Will food be provided?

Campers will receive a healthy snack, worked into the curriculum to learn about properly fueling our bodies as athletes. We encourage all athletes to bring a couple of their favorite healthy snacks from home to either supplement our offerings or ensure they enjoy the We do ask that items such as sodas, energy drinks, candy, etc. are not brought to camp.

Are there any discounts?

We offer sibling discounts. The first child is full priced and every other child receives 10% off camp registration. Email us at kids@azontherocks.com so that we can send you a promo code. 

What if there aren't any spots? Is there a waiting list?

If there aren’t any spots left email us at kids@azontherocks.com so that we can add you to our waiting list. If a spot opens up we will email our waiting list a link to the registration. It will be first come first serve. 

Do you offer before/after care?

Your child’s safety and experience is our highest priority. Our goal is to accommodate your family as best as we can, but to respect our staff and other gym patrons, we want to ensure our camp ends on time each day. 

Check in begins at 8:30am and camp ends promptly at 12pm Mon-Fri. 

We expect that you pick up your climber immediately after camp concludes, as we do not provide any sort of aftercare programming. However, if your child is picked up from camp more than 15 minutes late, you will incur an automatic $40 fee for every 30 minutes they must remain in the facility (Example: If your child is picked up at 12:20pm you will be charged $40 or if your child is picked up at 12:45pm you will be charged $80). If you know ahead of time that you will be running late please let us know so that we can inform our staff.
